Amy lay on her back in the soft grass, watching the clouds pass by slowly overhead and thinking about how they weren't making entertaining shapes like they were supposed to. "So, Pup," she said to the Pokemon curled up next to her, "what do you want to do today?" The gray creature lifted his head and stretched his jaws wide in a loud yawn. "Well, boy, I don't know if we'll be able to do all that today. Seems like you must have a lotta energy to want to do all that." Amy tore a fistful of grass from the healthy earth and threw it as far as she could. She gave a small sigh and enjoyed her last few moments of laying there like a bump on a log before pulling herself up into a sitting position. "C'mon, Pup. Let's go for a walk before Ma finds something unpleasant for us to do," she said and she sighed again after she stood up. The Poochyena whined at her, but when the girl started walking away from him, he got up and ran to catch up with her.
The two of them walked all the way to muddy Route 8, very close to Mudmont Cave. Ever since Pup and her had gone there to explore and Pup lost to a few Geodudes, the Pokemon held a great dislike for the cave. He even glared at it and growled a warning as they passed it. "C'mon now!" Amy scolded. "We're not goin' over there anyway, so just cool down." Pup sneezed and Amy's golden eyes rolled. He could be such a drama queen sometimes.

Having grown up on the western part of the region, the eastern side was somewhat new to her and so she easily got lost....like she was today. She grumbled to herself and her single Pokemon looked up at her with a confused expression. While she had never shown anger towards him, Marco was no stranger to his trainer's frustrations. He nudged her leg as they were paused and Ankaa was looking at a map. Looking aside from the map, she looked down at her firey Pokemon and patted his head. "I'll get us out of this mess. The forest should be around here somewhere and we'll find some real action for us." |
[/i] she said to him. Resuming her map reading and walking forward at the same time, her attention was suddenly drawn to a small figure that cast a shadow on her map. Looking underneath of the paper, her green eyes soon found herself looking at a young girl with pink hair. Blinking, she started at the little girl and her growling Poochyena. Not knowing what was going on, she was drawn down to look at her Pokemon who was soon responding in like kind. "Ugh...I think Marco's looking for a fight..."[/i] she said, sort of apologetically as she folded the map up. words: too lazy to count tags: notes: [/size][/style] [/td][/tr] [/table] [atrb=cellSpacing,20,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width:360px; border: 7px solid #b73d3d; border-top:0px; padding-left: 25px; background: url(http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq84/pucksbelle/CATCHAN/redbg.png); height:110px; bTable][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true]

Amy took notice of the black-haired young woman and her engrossing map. She also took notice of the little fire-type growling at her Pup, who crouched into a solid stance, returned the growl, and gave a warning bark for good measure.
"Ugh...I think Marco's looking for a fight..." the woman said as if it was a casual apology.
Amy shook her head. "No problem, ma'am. Boys will be boys. Pup here ain't in the best of moods, either. Stand down, Pup." The dark-type growled softly and his red pupils never looked away from the Cyndiquil, but he did obey his human and he sat next to her as she kept her attention on the woman. The girl hooked her thumbs onto the straps of her grass-stained overalls and she spoke with a tone of casual concern. "You lost, ma'am? You were lookin' at that map like it had the location to buried treasure or somethin'," she said, nodding her pink head at the folded piece of paper. Pup started growling at Marco the Cyndaquil again and Amy gave him a warning look. She really didn't want to get mad in front of a stranger. It would give the wrong impression.
